Ready for your test? Great - you can book it with The Transport Department (TMR) only.

We highly recommend you do at least one professionally supervised driving lesson before sitting your test - We don’t agree with just getting you to a level to pass your test; we want to teach you the skills that may save your life on the road.

If you are under 25, you are eligible to book a practical driving test once your learner logbook has been approved. If you hold a car learner licence, you must pass the car hazard perception test before you can book your practical driving test.

Practical Driving Tests

To book a practical driving test you can log in TMR website or follow the link below:

• book and pay online
• pay the booking fee at a transport and motoring customer service centre and then book your test by calling 13 23 80
• book by calling 13 23 80 and then pay online
• pay the booking fee and then have your driver trainer book the test for you.

Test vehicle requirements

Cadet Driving School will provide you with a safe, suitable clean vehicle to use for your practical driving test. The vehicle will be inspected before the test to meet the General test vehicle requirements.
